Brood of Vipers
Matthew 12:34-35
You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.
Yesterday the message was about the tongue. The pastor said that what comes out of your mouth is the overflow from your heart. Using that logic I think I am a bitter, angry, hateful, and unloving person because that is what usually comes out of my mouth. I always spew out bitter and hateful words. Every time I talk about someone it’s always to say how much I dislike them or hate them or think they’re stupid. I think some of it is out of habit, but I really need to change this. I need to start saying more positive things about people or nothing at all. Yeah I like nothing at all.
I know I’ve said this before but I think that I am full of unresolved rage. Normally I am a gentle and nice person, but when I get angry I am ridiculous. I will say and do some ridiculous things. Whenever I tell Mary that I have resolved the past and made peace with things, she always disagrees. She’ll reply back with, “Why is it then that you haven’t talked to your dad in over 15 years?” Man I hate it when she’s right. But my excuse is that no good can come from me seeing him. Maybe it’s wrong, but it’s safe.
On a lighter note, I think that I will start insulting people by calling them a brood of vipers. Man how awesome is that?

A Rare Event
Today my coworker sent me one of those chain e-mails but this one asked to pray for her and send it on to others. So I said to her casually, "I didn't know you were religious."
Then she said, "Yeah I'm trying because some things are going on." Then she shared with me.
Afterwards I sent her an e-mail with a bible verse: "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7).
And I wrote: In my experience prayers don’t always get answered directly but somehow in the end God grants me peace and understanding. I hope the same for you.
Then I prayed for her.
She replied with a thank you.
I rarely bring up my faith at work, but on rare occasions they fall on my lap. Like that one time when my other co-worker Jane said she was looking for a church and so I invited her to mine. Even though in the end our church wasn't for her it was still pretty cool. Her and her fiance (now husband) came out for over a month and really enjoyed the experience.

Sick as a Dog
So I'm at home sick as a dog. I guess it was a little more serious than I thought. Towards the end of the work day I started to get chills and my stomach took a turn for the worse.
As soon as I got home I went right into bed and had these flu like symptoms. My body ached and I had major chills. I had the worse night ever. I went diarrhea like 4 times and in the morning I threw up. This is the sickest I've been since Mary and I went to Puerto Vallarta. I'm so exhausted.
I haven't eaten anything in 24 hours. I tried eating some jjook but then I had to run to the bathroom again. I've lost 12 pounds of water weight.
Damn every time I start making great gains in the gym, I get sick.

You're Beautiful
My co-worker Jane who is Philipino went to Korea over the holidays to visit her husband stationed over there...(everybody always does these script things, this is my first one)
Jane: Dude Korean girls are so skinny! Mary is the prettiest Korean girl.
Me: My Mary?
Jane: Yeah, there're all skinny as hell but their face is not that pretty. Not as pretty as Mary's.
Me: ...you went to South Korea right?
Thank you I'm here all night. Just kidding babe you're pretty, so pretty, so pretty (pats hair with hand), so pretty, so pretty...

New Bulimia Workout
I was feeling queasy all morning, went diarrhea twice. Then at 12 I went to workout. In the middle of my workout I felt nauseous, so I went into the bathroom and threw up. Afterwards I felt great, so I finished my workout.

Record of Rights
My first entry of the New Year.
The Bible says that love keeps no record of wrongs, but it shouldn't hurt to keep a record of rights. I think that will be my New Year's resolution, to keep a record of rights for all the people that I know. I really need to do this because I'm so negative and I have totally lost faith in people and in friendship.
My first record of right for the the new year, well it actually happened a couple hours before the new year. Jonathan picked Mary and I up from the airport. I think everybody understands the value of an airport pick up. Especially with the little one, this was really a God send. Luckily he lives on the same block as us so he didn't need to travel far to get back home. He was actually driving to LA later that night or early morning with a friend. Isn't that crazy? Have a safe trip friend and thanks again for the airport pick up.
