Christian is getting better at the drums

He plays mostly at home with the chopsticks and a make shift drum set consisting of a tissue box, empty plastic containers and random dishes.  But we should really think about investing in a little drum set for him.  Maybe we could keep it in the garage.

Here he is playing along with the band.

It Is Well

When peace like a river, attendeth my way;
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul.

There is nothing like a good hymn. Churches these days don't sing hymns enough I think.

The hymn above is one of my favorites. It was written by Horatio Spafford in the late 1800's. He was a lawyer who endured more tragedy than a man should in one's life. His wife and 4 daughters were traveling to Europe by ship and while crossing the Atlantic, the ship collided with another ship and sank. His wife survived but all 4 of his daughters died. Shortly afterwards, as Spafford traveled to meet his grieving wife, he was inspired to write these words as his ship passed near where his daughters had died.
