White Water Bachelor Party

We went white water rafting for Pastor DeWayne's (or Pastor Doyn as Chrsitian likes to call him) bachelor party. The rapids were class 2 and I guess class 2 means really slow, because we had to paddle the whole time.

It was really fun though, we kept pushing each other into the river. There was one point where I jumped into the river backwards because a huge branch was going to impale me. The rapid was slow enough that I was able to walk back to the boat. It was a little scary though. There was a point where I thought the boat was going to leave me behind. Even class 2 rapids have a lot of power.


Afterwards we went to Claimjumpers and had an AWESOME dinner. Can you say porterhouse?

Mango

My Son the Mooch

Apparently my son mooches food off of people in his preschool. He walks around and sits next to people with food he wants and says, "Caw sum pweese?" Hilarious. No wonder he never finishes his lunch.

Up Yours Appa

Whenever Christian wants me to pick him up he says, "Up you appa."

And sometimes he says, "Up yours appa."

Groundhog Day

It's 1:40am and just finished watching one of my favorite movies of all time, Groundhog Day.  I'd hate to get a life insight from this goofy Bill Murray movie, but I did.  Here it is:

You can either make a positive or negative difference in somebody's life everyday of your life. 

The difference between Bill Murray's character and ours?  We go to sleep thinking there will be a tomorrow...   

Zoo Crew

We went to the Oakland Zoo on Sunday with the gang.  It was Christian's first time.  I think he really enjoyed it.  

The funniest part was when we were looking at the monkeys and I said, "Look Christian monkeys."  Then Christian says, "Ball!", after spotting a red rubber ball the monkeys play with. Something tells me he would rather go to Cooperstown than the zoo.
